However, there’s a large subset of Range Rover customers who unfortunately will never tap into the model’s rugged side. Land Rover loyalist aren’t surprised by superlative off-road prowess they’ve come to expect it. (and 50 years since its global introduction), the Land Rover Range Rover, now in its fourth generation, remains one of the most sought-after, high-end sport utility vehicles available on the market today. Thirty-four years following its entry into the U.S. Though Land Rover’s reputation was built on rugged trucks like the Series models from the 1960s and 1970s, the new Range Rover offers a level of luxury that seems incompatible with its ancestor’s off-road chops.
